Conference Fees

The conference fee consists of three components which can be purchased either together or separately:

Registration policy

  • If you are the first author of one (or more) accepted abstracts…
    • …you are required to pay one conference fee for each accepted abstract in which you are listed as the first author. As an example, if you are the first author of three abstracts, you are required to pay three conference fees.
  • If you are co-author of one (or more) accepted abstracts
    • …and you will not attend the conference, you are not required to pay any fee.
    • …and you wish to attend the conference, you are required to pay one conference fee.
  • If you are both first author and coauthor of one (or more) accepted abstracts, and you wish to attend the conference, you are required to pay one conference fee.
  • If you are a panel convenor, you are required to pay the conference fee for attending the conference, in accordance with the fee overview.
    • If you are both a panel convenor and the first author of one (or more) accepted abstracts, you are required to pay only one conference fee.


The registration fee includes:

  • the oral presentation of an abstract in a panel session;
  • access to all conference activities (keynotes speeches, symposia, panel sessions, special events, etc.);
  • open access publication of your abstract in the conference’s book of abstracts (details to be provided later);
  • open access publication of your paper in the conference’s ISBN-provided Book of Proceedings (details to be provided later);
  • certificate of participation (after the event) and electronic invoice.

Conference registration

Conference registration will remain open until May 17, 2026.

Organizations (e.g., universities, government Agencies, public bodies, etc.) and physical persons requiring specific e-invoicing procedures (such as Split Payment, CIG, CUP codes, etc.) or any kind of collective payment must contact us at segreteria@scuolademocratica.it to process their registration.

a Untenured Academics include only indipendent scholars, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers/research fellows, adjunct professors (docenti a contratto in Italy), and fixed-term researchers (RTD-A in Italy).

b Tenured Academics include tenured/tenure-track researchers (RTD-B and RTT in Italy), associate professors, and full professors.

c Participants from Low-Income and Lower-Middle-Income countries, as classified by the World Bank (FY2026), are eligible for the reduced fee. Low-Income economies (GNI per capita ≤ $1,135): Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo (Dem. Rep.), Eritrea, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Korea (Dem. REFUND POLICY

  • Cancellations requested within 14 days of acceptance notification (by 12 April 2026) are eligible for a full refund, minus any bank fees.

  • Cancellations requested by 30 April 2026 (end of Early Bird registration) are eligible for a 50% refund.

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations after 30 April 2026.
